Ingredients:
– 500g Rohu or Katla fish (cleaned and cut)
– 2 tbsp Tiril Turmeric Powder
– 1 tbsp Tiril Red Chilli Powder
– 1 tbsp Tiril Coriander Powder
– 1 tsp Tiril Cumin Powder
– 1 tsp Tiril Garam Masala
– 2 medium onions (sliced)
– 2 tomatoes (chopped)
– 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 4 tbsp mustard oil
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander for garnish
Method:
1. Marinate fish with Tiril Turmeric and salt for 15 minutes.
2. Heat mustard oil in a kadhai until smoky. Fry fish pieces golden on both sides. Set aside.
3. In the same oil, add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
4. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until oil separates.
6. Add Tiril Red Chilli, Coriander, and Cumin Powder. Stir well.
7. Add 1.5 cups warm water and bring to a boil.
8. Gently add fried fish pieces and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
9. Finish with Tiril Garam Masala and fresh coriander.
10. Serve hot with steamed rice.
